Talks with power equipment OEMs in Brazil were interesting and productive

From November 21 to 23, 2023, a delegation from the Izolyator Group visited enterprises producing power equipment in Brazil.

Our colleagues had talks with management representatives and saw production facilities of the following electrical enterprises that are engaged in manufacture of equipment for the production, transmission and distribution of electricity:

TSEA Energia plant in Contagem, Minas Gerais;

Prolec GE Brasil plant in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul;

plant of the WEG Group in Blumenau, Santa Catarina.

TSEA Energia (Transformadores e Serviços de Energia das Américas S.A.) is a Brazilian company that develops and manufactures a wide range of products for the energy generation, transmission and distribution market. In particular, power transformers and reactors for voltages up to 500 kV are produced. TSEA Energia consists of three electrical engineering plants.

Prolec GE Brasil is a plant of the Mexican company Prolec GE, located in Canoas city in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. Prolec GE designs, manufactures and sells of products and solutions for the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy. Prolec GE is the leader in the Mexican market and has an important and growing share in the rest of America, being the largest transformer manufacturer in the continent.

WEG Group is a Brazilian group of companies, one of the world's leading manufacturers of equipment in the electric engineering, power and automation technology areas. The group's enterprises produce electric motors, generators, transformers, electric drives, as well as industrial coatings. The head office of the WEG Group is located in Jaraguá do Sul.

The Izolyator Group’s delegation was headed by Commercial Director for Equipment Manufacturers and Exports Dmitriy Orekhov. It also included Head of America Sales of MIM Hugo Lira and representatives of the Brazilian engineering partner TDM Service & Solutions.

During the negotiations with management representatives of the Brazilian companies, the parties covered key issues of establishing and building long-term partnerships: existing trends in the electrical equipment market and product requirements, promising joint projects, the range and expected volumes of supplies of products from Izolyator Group enterprises, the ways for setting up effective interaction during implementation of reached agreements and further planning of joint activities.

All the talks went in an atmosphere of mutual interest and were as effective as possible, becoming another important step towards the development of international cooperation within the framework of the BRICS interstate association.
